But first…. let me post pics of December 2020.

I actually have gazilions photos in my phone BUT i only managed to transfer few photos from my phone to the laptop….. i was so excited to transfer 10k photos. something went wrong along the way.. i think i shouldn’t access the camera function during transfer hehe. lesson learned. I will try to transfer again once i’m free. It’s the first time i back up the iphone 11 to this laptop hehe. I don’t like to sync n back up my phone.. this is why my iphone 7 ran out of space heee….. will import pics and delete next time because i hardly use that phone anymore and it contain precious memory of my firstborn.

Ok fast forward to January 2021… how do i feel about it?

Overwhelming doesn’t even begin to describe it….. I have been assistant HOD for a while….. but this year i got promoted to HOD…. boy oh boy……………………………. there are so many things to think about! not just lesson observation… not just checking record files…… the shoes is so big to fill cos the previous HOD set the bar quite high…. with her efficiency n endless screen time. This is my weakness… i don’t like checking whatsapp messages constantly… when im teaching i don’t check my phone unless i’m done and i have a lot of time to kill.. most of the time i don’t touch my phone at alll until breaktime.. or until i’m free….. our school is on paperless mode.. everything is done via whatsapp… relief schedule.. sudden contact time….. i missed our first contact time because i didn’t check my phone…. sooooo many group chats to read and be updated!

Anyway…… so far so good………… my kids are not giving me any headache at all. Alhamdulillah my teachers also give full cooperation to me. They accept my role as their HOD because they don’t want to be in HOD shoes hahaha. I willll gladly give this duty to anybody……… moreeee than willling…… but since the shoes is mine to fill for now. i’ll try my hardest to dance and enjoy the music…..

Venue: Kaizen Waterfront

Attendance: Rosie, Geck, Zatul, Izan and Sens. (Missing Noi and Amal)

I arrived at Kaizen before 6pm cos I wanted to fix my watch. I met Izan at the parking lot.. so we walked to Yayasan and watch-talk along the way.. we decided we should buy a Rolex 😂.

we scanned our first QR code tadi.. it was cool.. no fuss no hassle… Waited for our tables to be connected… and boy were we shocked at the ‘social distancing’ being imposed to the diners 😂. 5 of us.. we used 5 tables!!!! Haha one table per person.. I’ll insert photo next so you can IMAGINE the space 😂

Yes I have a maid now. I didn’t post her pic in IG.. I didn’t mention her in any of my post cos I didn’t want to jinx it like my first maid (si LV 😂… she only lasted a week!!!) we had to wait few months for her replacement…

My maid is already here for 3 months. Alhamdulillah she is helpful and I don’t know how I can handle having two kids if I don’t have her. I salute people who are maidless and still manage to raise their kids properly.

I hope she is here to stay and finish her contract.. I hope Ali won’t be too attached to her tho.

His routine now..

• 7am… he will wake up making noises so I usually export him to my mum’s room.. my maid will change his clothes or diaper if necessary.. feed him n then get him to nap again by 8am.
• 9am my maid will knock on my door and that’s my que to give my boy his bath… then I will feed him food then my maid will give him his bottle….. play with him at least for an hour or two before his next nap
• If he wakes up… n if his sister is awake.. Ali will lepak in my room ❤️
• 2pm usually he will sleep again hehe pandai tidur ni this boy….
• 4pm – feeding time and then bath time.
• 6pm – nap again…..
• 8pm – he will move into my room for his sleep… usually pigang tangan dulu.. I massage his head… rub here n there.. then he will doze off by himself! Magic! (Nda payah diunggak – I don’t know how to express this in English 😂)

Business is slowing down because it is a pain to get things transported from Miri to Brunei. I don’t like waiting……

Thanks to my sister for getting him shoes cos I forgot to get him one! Poor baby…. having a boy really save you money 😅. I don’t shop much for him…

I learn so much from my firstborn. We wasted so much money buying unnecessary items. This time around I only buy what I NEED. Even his sleepsuits 3 pcs saja for every cycle..I’m supposed to buy new pack of sleepsuits ni cos he’s 6 months old already (time flies!!)

My favourite investment is the baby bassinet of course.. sleeping arrangement sorted 😂. I was worried about his sleeping place cos Dk Nour still sleep between us… I bought a bed for Dk Nour but she don’t want to move….. slowly but surely I will train her to sleep in her own bed.. sabar hehe toilet training pun alum pass 😂.. we were hoping for SMSS to do the job for us.. term 2 syllabusnya toilet training 😫.. ani sibuk sibuk tia jua kan ttp skulah…….covid oh covid.. pls go away and don’t come back..

I bought many many bags this time around 😂. My bags will remind me of my second pregnancy journey…..

I will reserve the bag story for another post cos I need to screenshot pictures from IG hahahaha.. nda bah ku ingat namanya 😅

I miss blogging, therefore I am

Yes. People are talking about this pandemic everyday.. we wait for press conference daily.. the Q&A became our entertainment 😅. That is life now…

Pros of teaching online.

1. I get to stay home often and tend to my babies. Give them all the care and love that they need from a mother. I get to give them their bath.. I get to feed them…. bonding session is great.

2. I get to nap when I don’t have class or marking to do.

3. I’m updated with my social network cos I’m holding my phone all the time 😂. I’m not missing any lesson also because I carry my lesson with me all the time.. i also get to learn a lot of apps… teams, zoom, quizizz, ms forms.. etc. I finally bought myself gazilion tripods as well 😂 and multiple gadgets just to assist me with my online teaching…

Cons of online teaching:

1. Students can’t see my angry face….

2. Can’t scream and emphasize things if they don’t understand….. or if they don’t finish their work..

3. Students go online just to take attendance and then they dissappeared…… 😤

4. Preparation for home learning pack is crazy….. 💆🏻‍♀️. Maths is not for self study.. otherwise they can just buy a textbook and do all the work.. they need to see the process…. this is the challenge we face everyday.. trying to improve everyday.. thinking of ways to impart knowledge without draining students’ credits. 💆🏻‍♀️.

Anyway….. holiday is here now. We all NEED the break from screen time. I bet it is not healthy for both teacher and students.. but what to do.. learning must go on.. when school reopens.. online teaching shall resume 😫. Students will stay home.. Teachers will go to school….. holding phone or facing laptop the whole day…..

*SIGH*. May Allah ease our hardship. Aamiin.
