As I usher into 2018 with uncertainties and assurance, with anxieties and hope, with frustration and excitement, “why the controversies?”, I can’t help but ask myself.
Life is sometimes, tough shit, that’s why.
2017 was not a horrible year, yet, it was not a great year either if I’m completely honest.
I had plans and dreams each and every year, I was hopeful on 31st December 2016 and I shall remain hopeful today on 31st December 2017.
Afterall, what is a life without hopes and dreams? Human beings will be reduced to mere animals if it’s a life led without hopes and dreams.
Regardless bygones in 2017, which will be bygones from tomorrow onwards, I shall and will embrace 2018 with that adrenaline rush that will pump my heart and mind, to prepare for something bigger. Something only God can imagine and fulfil.
Let me continue my praise even when it is tough to; even when my flesh refuse. To my Lord, my sovereign King, my Father in heaven in Psalms 150:
Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
