Hooray for redheads!
The romance community is sorely lacking in redheaded heros and Derek more than filled the void. I loved Derekâs lively, animated spirit and how he almost always had something to say. I also liked how we got to see Derekâs flaws, including some of the insecurity that resulted from his childhood. I was happy that Derekâs relationship with Sophie wasnât just built on their physical attraction (although some of those scenes were HOT), but also on their enjoyment of each otherâs company. In addition, I thought the author did a great job getting into the minds of hockey players and showing how it felt to play professional hockey while waiting to get called up to the NHL (the big leagues). The author also did a good job melding hockey with romance.

2 like minded people (who talk a lot!) but donât drive each other crazy and have amazing chemistry! Sophie and Derek are adorable together!
I do feel like the book is a little out of order- Iâd swap chapters 9 and 10.
But I think Iâve read this one (and The Machine) the most out of the entire series.
